Hello my Travelies! I know its been some time! But we’ve been active on Tiktok! In today’s post i’m providing information for what is needed for entry into Canada. With all the new rules changing daily its so hard to tell! We saw the glimmer of hope and then…… who knows! But let’s stay positive.
“What do I need to get into that country? What do I need to get in this country? What do I need to get back into my own country?” many questions looming. Hopefully, todays posts gives some answers.
As of December 11/2021…
The federal government has said all passengers entering Canada, except those from the United States, need to be tested on arrival and isolate until they get their results. (Those coming from 10 African countries face further restrictions following initial detection of the Omicron variant in South Africa, despite its prevalence in more than 50 countries (including, Portugal, Netherlands etc..)
**Please Note: All Documents MUST be submitted on the ArriveCAN App**
To Get on a Flight In Canada:
Present Negative COVID TEST (Antigen, PCR, RP-PCR)
Proof of Vaccination Status (for travel within and abroad)
To Enter Canada:
Present Negative COVID TEST (PCR Only, within 72 hours)
**Fully vaccinated travellers who have been in any country other than Canada and the United States in the 14 days prior to entry to Canada may be selected for arrival testing**
Quarantine Measures:
If you do not meet the requirements of a fully vaccinated traveller, you will be either denied entry into Canada, required to quarantine for 14 days, or required to quarantine until you depart Canada.
You must demonstrate that you have a suitable plan for quarantine.
- You’re expected to make these plans, within your own means, before travelling to Canada.
Current Travel Ban List of Countries:
*Those traveled in the past 14 days may be denied entry from the following countries.
Botswana, Egypt, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zimbabwe
